Oceanus: Act One

Marine biologist Erin Kendall and her engineer husband, Sam Jordan, are stationed with three hundred other underwater explorers at the Oceanus Research Facility, a spectacular aquatic city located southeast of Japan. Having worked for years on a whale communications pod, Kendall is less than interested in dealing with ongoing marital issues as she and Jordan head toward a deployment site for her experiment near Hawaii in the AquaShuttle, a futuristic submarine. In the middle of unexpected repairs on the pod, the two are suddenly separated by a tsunami generated by an unforeseen global disaster. Kendall decides to disobey orders to return to base in an attempt to rescue Sam. Her personal journey takes her through an array of undersea nightmares and wonders and as she comes to terms with her true feelings and potential loss of her husband.
